All of these calculators use the same general equation:
A/100 x B = C
where A, B, and C are defined by:
A% of B = C

If you know any two of the variables (A, B, C) you can solve for the third unknown variable.
Taking the general equation: A/100 x B = C and rearranging:

A = (C / B) x 100
B = C / (A / 100)
C = (A / 100) x B

Note: A% = A/100       because % means per 100
